Some other cool things I've done - Been to Loch Ness, slept in a haunted castle, played hide and seek in the haunted castle, lived in a foreign country for 10 months on my own, been to the top of the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building and been on the London Eye. There's probably others but I can't really think of them at the moment!

Let them eat cake!

I saw Marie Antoinette at the movies a couple of days ago. It stars Kirsten Dunst and I really enjoyed it. The plot's a bit thin but the amazing costumes and scenery and funky soundtrack totally make up for that itty bitty problem. Luckily they end the film before the royal family gets captured by the Revolutionists. I really didn't want her to die, I felt sorry for her.
Yesterday I bought some new clothes and also went to Borders to buy a new book and some magazines with the gift voucher I got for Christmas.
I started a scrapbook layout last night. Why is it that I only get in the scrapping zone late at night? I started it at about 9:30pm so naturally I didn't finish it but this morning I'm not really in the mood to finish it off. How frustrating!

I heart Sales!

So this morning I went to Photo Continental with my gift voucher I got for Christmas. They were having a sale so I ended up purchasing $73 worth of stuff for about $37 or so. Not bad! I got two transparent overlays - one with a lovely picture of Big Ben and one with a picture of Pont Neuf (a bridge in Paris). I also got a new blade for my Carl trimmer, some Basic Grey chipboard alphas - the chipboard mini monos, the chipboard block alphas and the chipboard monograms (please ignore the fact that I have only used 2 letters from my other box of monograms!) and I got a box of beeeautiful silver K & Co Twinkle Type alphas. I wanted red as well but thought that was going overboard a bit.
So then I came home and bought some more stuff online. One of my favourite online scrapbook stores has 25% off everything so I got Basic Grey Pewter square bookplates, a Microfine glitter set with 12 different glitter colours, Lil Davis Tinsel Town Paint in strawberry, mint and silver and glitter glaze paint in rose and a mega alpha letter R (for Robbie!!!).
Apparently I'm going though some sort of glitter sparkly quarter life crisis.
I have no idea where I'm going to put all this stuff, my scrap area looks like a bomb hit it, there's flowers and ribbon all over the place.

Happy Boxing Day!

I had a nice Christmas, very low key but thats how I like it. I got some nice presents, including books, money, gift vouchers, an ipod alarm clock radio thing and a vegetable peeler! :)
Today Mum and I saw The Holiday at the movies. I really enjoyed it. It was funny and I got to perve on Jude Law for 2 hours...what more could a girl ask for? I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I'm hoping to see a few more movies within the next couple of weeks. I plan on seeing Marie Antoinette in the next day or two.

I bought several cheap DVD movies while I was out today. I got two Doris Day movies, two Bing Crosby movies, Alfie (Starring Jude Law!!) and Sliding Doors, all for under $40!

Tomorrow I am going to Photo Continental to spend a gift voucher I got for Christmas and I think on Thursday we are going to IKEA as they have moved into a much larger location and I'm hoping to pick up some cheap household items. IKEA is such a fun place to wander about.

Isn't he adorable? :)

Woohoo!

I'm on holidays! For 3 weeks! No more having to get up at 5:15 to do the 7:30 shift...for three blissful weeks!
And to start off my holidays I woke up at 4am this morning! Well done me. I went down to the Gold Coast with my mum. We did some shopping, both Christmas shopping and shopping for us (as you do!). Still haven't done all our Christmas shopping yet though.

I had a FABULOUS time at the Robbie Williams concert on Wednesday night. I was absolutely shattered on Thursday as I only had 5 and a half hours sleep. I got lots of great photos and some rubbish ones! My friend and I spent most of the concert on our feet dancing!

This is what he looks like normally:

And these are a few concert pics:

Yes, he has his hand down his pants. And I got a photo of it!! :) He also smoked in a non-smoking venue, cheeky bugger!

Robbie Eve Eve!

2 sleeps til I get to see this gorgeous fella in the flesh. Unfortunately my mate who's going with me has a head cold but hopefully that will clear up a bit before Wednesday night.

Thanks to weight watchers I've lost 2 kilograms (4 pounds) this week and I'm very happy about that! Hopefully I'll be able to get through the concert and Friday's work Xmas party and not put on any weight!

Food n Stuff

I've done quite a bit of cooking today. I made some rubbish patty cakes - the recipe was healthy, so they didn't taste all that good. The icing was the nice part! I cooked Chicken Parmigiana for the first time ever and it turned out fabulously. I also chucked the left over chicken in the fry pan with some sweet & sour sauce and froze that for future dinners.

I've been sticking with my weight watchers plan and I've definitely lost weight. 1st weigh in is Monday morning.

This week is my last week at work and then we have 3 weeks off for Christmas/New Years. Don't know what I'll do with myself, hopefully lots of scrapping.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to see the new James Bond movie, Casino Royale. I've been looking forward to this for weeks!

4 sleeps til ROBBIE IN CONCERT!!!!

Cool t-shirts

I found this site on someone else's blog www.lazybonesfitness.com and it has really cool t-shirts on it like these. The first one says "I don't care about being big and strong. I just want to look good naked'

The second one reads 'Here to meet boys'. Cool hey! I was going to get one of them but the shirt cost $10 US and the postage was $26...um no I dont think so!

Think thin thoughts!

So it's 21 days til Christmas. The time of year when there's a lot of food and alcohol floating about...and what do I do? I go and join Weight Watchers. The online version. I'm such a bright spark aren't I? I joined up for 3 months (because it was cheaper in the long run).

I decided on online because I've tried the meetings version a bit over a year ago but I had to stop due to my work hours. I did it for 11 weeks...I lost 2kg (4 pounds) in the first week. It then took me another 9 weeks to lose 1 kg (2 pounds) and then it took me 1 week to gain back that 1kg. And then I gave up. Not that it mattered, because thanks to my fantastic friend the gallbladder I managed to mostly maintain my weight (as I couldn't eat anythingwith fat in it without being ill!).
I had my gall bladder & the two evil gall stones removed in April (best $3,000 I ever spent!) And have since then rapidly put on about 10kilos (20 pounds). I look awful, I feel like a whale and most of my clothes don't fit me. So from now on I'm on 21 points a day. I should be exercising too but at the moment I can't due to a foot injury.

Right so here's my plan & goals. They're fairly easy goals to reach but I dont want to set myself up for failure.

Goal -

1. To lose 3 kilos (6 pounds) by Christmas Day
2. To drink 5 glasses of water a day (especially on Saturdays & Sundays)
3. To at least eat 2 fruits a day

That's the plan for now. I'm just going to start small so that one day I will end up back here:

The date: 2 January 2003. The place: Movie World on the Gold Coast. Weight: 23.9 kilos lighter than I am now (that's about 50 pounds!!) Size: 12-14 (those pants are a size 12 AUS/8 US) and I still have them!

P.S Robin was a hottie!!!!

TGIF!

I am soooo glad it's Friday. I've had a pretty full on week at work and I'm so glad it's finally the weekend! I did about 3 and a half hours overtime in 24hours, which is something I'm not used to and it just about killed me.
Today's Two Peas Challenge is to blog about 5 things I enjoyed today. I'm going to list 5 things that made me happy today.

1. I got paid. This happens every Friday and it's just great!

2. I bought the new Beatles album - LOVE today. This is the soundtrack from the Cirque Du Soleil show in Vegas called LOVE, which I saw when I was there a few months ago. I really really enjoyed it, the costumes and interpretive dance stuff was amazing and the Beatles music was all re-arrange and re produced by George Martin and it just totally rocks. I'm listening to it at the moment. I am the Walrus - coo coo cachoo! The only disappointment with the show was they didn't play Yellow Submarine! It's my favourite Beatles song.

3. I also bought a book to read over the weekend and the DVD 'It's a Wonderful Life' (for $5!!).

4. The December Poppy Ink kit appeared on the Poppy Ink website. I subscribed back in August and my subscription starts with this kit! Looks good doesn't it!? Pity it's almost impossible to get the add-on kits for it in Australia. They rock.

And last but not least:
5. Um 12 SLEEPS TIL THE ROBBIE CONCERT!!!! yum. :)

Holy Shopping Spree Batman!

It's the weekend! Again! My weekend started early this week, I got to leave work at 1pm! And..I get to do this every 2nd Friday! How cool is that!! So much free time and so little idea of what to do with it all! I ended up going into town and buying 2 books and the December Creating Keepsakes magazine.

I went out for dinner with Mum, as it was her last day ever as a teacher, so we had to celebrate. We very rarely go out to dinner, it's cheaper and healthier to eat at home and I always end up eating bad food and regretting it. We had wood fired pizzas and for dessert I had a choc mousse cake thing. It was several layers of choccie mousse inbetween several layers of choccie cake. Topped with choccie gnash, two scoops of vanilla ice cream on the side and a big piece of thin chocolate sticking out of the whole thing. Oh my god it was amazing. And I couldn't eat it all because it was too filling and too sweet. That made me sad, I hate wasting food, especially really yummy food.

This morning I did two things. One was get a haircut and the other was attending a very big scrapbook store sale.

The sale is held by this LSS that is literally 10mins away from where I live. I've never been to one of their sales before. They have them probably two or three times a year. What was I thinking? They had some seriously good stuff marked down to fantastic prices. I got heaps of stuff. Ribbons, Brads, chipboard pieces, alphas, rubbons, paint & ink, a bit of bling...would you believe I didn't get any patterned paper ? Not a bit. I have absolutely no idea where I'm going to put all this stuff though. My shelves are packed to the brim already.

Here's an exact list of the stuff I got:

  • Heidi Swapp Chipboard word strips in pink, red & aqua

  • Heidi Swapp Chipboard letters - uppercase & lowercase crimson and uppercase sea blue

  • Heidi Swapp jewels in green and 2 flower jewels in blue

Vampires!

I'm in the middle of re-reading Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I read it once years ago and really enjoyed it so I decided I needed read it again. I'd totally forgotten that it's a bloody fantastic book! Very gripping. It's the sort of book where I can't stop thinking about it, even when I've put it down. I think I'm going to have to read the rest in the series and hire the movie from the video store.
Two Peas Monday Challenge: Answer these questions.
1- your worst habit? It's so hard to pick just one! I bite my nails all the time. I'm also quite lazy.
2- your best feature? I'm quite easy-going.
3- what you like most about your significant other/spouse? I'm single :)
4- if you could travel anywhere, where would it be? Everywhere? Um...Iceland is fairly high on my list, Paris, Monte Carlo, London, Bath, Italy, that ice hotel in Sweden, Prince Edward Island, Alaska, the North Pole, Graceland, Disneyland...to name just a few :)
5- what do you admire most in a dear friend you have? One of my very good friends makes me laugh...a lot!
Two PeasTuesday's Challenge: If you could learn another language, which would it be and why?
I have actually attempted to learn 2 foreign languages so far. I learnt German for 5 years at school. Quite a few years ago some bright spark thought that German would be a great language for Aussie kids to learn because it would be important sometime in our futures. I'm guessing they forgot that Germany's on the other side of the world. Luckily for all the kiddies at school now, someone has realised that Asia is in fact A LOT closer and will in fact be far more useful for people to learn. So kids are being taught Japanese and various other Asian languages.
The other language I attempted to learn was French. I did a 8 week evening TAFE course in 2003 because I was planning on going to France in 2004. I didn't learn a lot but a few phrases stuck, so that when I went to Paris (for a whole 3 days) I somehow managed to not offend anyone and managed to keep myself fed due to my fantastic knowledge of french food such as crepes, crossiants and McNuggets :)
The next language I would like to attempt to learn is Italian. Because I plan on going to Italy (and France and a few other places) in 2010.

Knackered

That's what I am...knackered. It's been a full on week. I started my new job on Monday so I've been learning new things and it's all a bit stressful. It's going ok though.

I got to leave work about 40 minutes early on Friday and decided I didn't feel like going home so I contacted a guy I used to work with to see what he was up to and I ended up meeting him and some other people for some drinks in town. I met some new people and caught up with the guys who I haven't seen in over 2 months. I had a lot of fun and got very drunk but managed to get myself on the 10:15 bus home, because I didn't want to spend $30 on a taxi fare.

My Robbie Williams tickets arrived yesterday! Woohoo!!!!! 3 weeks til the concert!!

I went shopping today. I needed some more work shirts, so I went into town and got 3 new tops, which all look quite good on me if I do say so myself. And only one of them was black (I'm a sucker for black).

I also bought some on sale crafty things from Lincraft today - some orange ribbon, assorted green ribbons, some acrylic christmas stamps and a small metal frame. I bought a book too, which I'll be reading this evening. I had hoped to go to the movies tonight but I'm too tired.

Mum picked up some classic Winnie the Pooh stuff for me from Spotlight during the week. I love the twill tape.
I'm hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend. I really need to get cracking the recipe albums. There's only a few weeks left til Christmas and I have to make 3 albums!

Guess what I got!

Some Fruitcake! Fruitcake as in the Basic Grey paper, not the food, although I do really like a bit of fruitcake, especially the type that has cherries and icing on top!

I also got 2 sheets of Blitzen because mum's doing Christmas cards and I thought that she might like to use some of that too. Aren't the snowmen cute! I wish they'd come out with some penguin paper too.

I picked this up at a not so local scrapbook store, while I was getting a gift card for my cousin's birthday. I finally filled up my card thing that they stamp each time you spend $15. Next time I go there I have $25 off my next purchase! Yay!

Now for my even more exiting news....I got a job! Finally! After over 2 months of being unemployed I finally got one. Naturally it was the 6th and final interview that I had this week. Typical. I had an interview on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, two on Thursday and two today. It's been a busy and exhausting week.

Anyway, I'm going to be a PA for a bunch of commercial brokers which sounds interesting and has quite a few fabulous perks, including bonuses amd I only have to work half a day every 2nd Friday! And I get a small payrise. I start Monday, so tomorrow I'm going shopping for new work clothes and today I bought some celebratory weight watchers cherry mudslide ice cream to celebrate :)

Today's Two Peas challenge: Talk about your fave color and why it's your favorite!

My favourite colour is purple! It has been my favourite for many years and I have no idea why. My bedroom walls are white and purple, I gravitate to towards purple clothing when I'm shopping, but at the moment don't really have any purple clothes. I do have purple Crocs though. I also have purple bed linen, purple blinds, purple book cases and a purple, green and gold couch. With purple cushions! :)

The race that stops the nation!

Happy Melbourne Cup Day! And congratulations to Delta Blues, this years Melbourne Cup winnner.

Today is the day a horse race that is watched by millions of Aussies all over the country. It's one of the biggest horse races in all the world, similar I suppose to the Kentucky Derby. It's actually a very big deal and a chance for everyone to slack off work for a while and gamble. Two of the country's favourite things!

The last 3 years it has been won by Makybe Diva (I won $19 on her last year!) This year I put bets on Pop Rock and Geordieland. Silly me put $5 on Pop Rock to win, but it came 2nd! It was a nail biting ending and ended up being a photo finish with Delta Blues winning by a bit of a nose. Oh well, I only would have ended up with about $13 anyway so I'm not too upset!

Vote for Me!

I entered a Canon camera competition. It's for Aussie's only and it's running for 8 weeks and each week it's like a new beginning so you can only enter once a week. Winners get one of the new Canon Digital SLRs!! Anyway I entered the other day and there's only three days of voting left. Click HERE to see the photo I uploaded. It's my favourite photo that I took of the Eiffel Tower.

The King rocks!

I scrapped this evening while listening to many of my 198 Elvis Presley songs on iTunes and had a great time. I got 2 pages done! I haven't done 2 pages in one evening in aaages. Maybe I should listen to The King more often! I also downloaded a bunch of Beatles and Paul McCartney songs which have been fun to boogey too as well.

My first page is called 'Big Apples'. Used red KI alpha rub ons, black Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, some KI paper, a Heidi Swapp journaling spot and some bling. The scan is pretty rubbish but you get the idea.

The other page is called 'Leaving Las Vegas' and was totally scraplifted from tiabennet at Two Peas. I don't usually scraplift but I loved her page. Mine uses Autumn Leaves paper, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters, half a Heidi orange flower, the bling, little gold star and date stamp from one of Jenni Bowlin's kits and the plane is a Basic Grey rub on.

Today's Two Peas Challenge is - What is your fave holiday movie?

My favourite holiday movie is probably White Christmas. Nothing like a bit of Bing Crosby to make you feel festive! I love the song White Christmas and I also love the song 'Counting your Blessings'. Bit of movie trivia for you - Did you know that Rosemary Clooney was George Clooney's aunt? Well now you do!

Introducing Mr Jack-O-Lantern

I took a whole bunch of photos of this candle this evening. Most of them came out blurry as I dont have a tripod for my little digital camera but these ones turned out ok.

I ended up on the ground, in the dark, lying on god knows what, in our backyard for the first one.

Spooky!

I do believe in Spooks!

I do, I do, I do believe in Spooks! So quoth the Cowardly Lion.

It's Halloween!

Such a shame we don't celebrate Halloween properly in Oz. I mean you can buy some Halloween stuff, it's just not quite as big over here as it is in the US. I like the dressing up part. And the free chocolate and lollies part!

I bought Mum a jack o lantern candle from Bath & Bodyworks when I was in Vegas which we are going to light tonight. That's our Halloween celebration. Whoop de do!

I went out with my friend and her son for a while this morning. We had a wander round the shops and had lunch. I finally found a copy of the November Creating Keepsakes magazine while we were out. Haven't looked through it yet, I'll do that later on this arvo.

Today's Two Peas Blog Challenge: Since it's Halloween and all.. let's talk horror movies.. do you like watching them? If you do, what are some of your faves? and why???

I HATE horror movies! I haven't seen too many because I'm a giant chicken. I avoid them at all costs. The only real horror movie I've seen is 'IT' based on the novel by Stephen King. That scary clown *shudder*. I saw it at a friend's birthday sleepover when I was about 16 or so. Luckily it didn't put me off clowns. Just horror movies.

Shake your rude box!

Today I was supposed to buy some new clothes for work. So I went to one of the large nearby shopping centers and somehow managed to not buy any clothes. I put a CD/Radio/Turntable sound system on layby at K-Mart, bought the latest Robbie Williams CD called "Rude Box"and also got his DVD "Live at Albert Hall", which I've seen before and is really good. He sings old Frank Sinatra type swing songs at Albert Hall in London. It was half price, so I couldn't resist.

I was going to do some proper clothes searching after I had lunch but I got all woozy so I thought it was best to come home. Oh well there's always tomorrow.

More shopping!

I've had such a busy day today. I've cleaned the bathroom, put on a load of washing, cleaned the kitchen, put on the dishwasher, cleaned up cat spew (such a fun job) and found out that I am 99% likely to be offered the job I want by the end of the week!! The only obstacle is some supervisor who is supposed to officially approve me being hired. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly and I should be able to start work on Monday! Woohoo! I can't wait to have money again :)

Today mum and I went to Photo Continental, which is a great camera shop in Brisbane but also has a massive scrapbooking section. We picked up some papers and chipboard scrapbooks for my christmas presents that I'm making for a few of my relatives. Mum recently found 7 handwritten recipes that were my grandmothers' so I'm going to do some recipe albums as Christmas presents.

I got a 6x6 paper pad of the new Basic Grey Romani/Gypsy paper as well as a sheet of matching letter stickers.

I also got the 12x12 Basic Grey LilyKate collection pack which includes the papers, letter stickers and the coordinating tags.

I also got 3 of these Delish Designs Biscuit Board Albums, which I think will be perfect.

I must say that until the release of Basic Grey Oh Boy and Oh Girl, I've never really been a fan of their papers. I only bought 1 sheet of Blitzen paper when it was released. I wasn't even going to get any of the Romani or LilyKate lines but they totally suit the people I'm making the presents for.

I had a look at the Canon digital SLRs while I was at Photo Continental. They had a Canon 400D with a 18-55mm lense and a 55-300mm lense for a measly $1500! Not bad! I reeeeeeally want one. Unfortunately a 5th camera (that's right, I have 4) is not exactly a priority at the moment. Maybe in a few years time when I'm ready to go on another overseas trip.

Today's 2 Peas blogging challenge is - Think Christmas. Think about your Christmas tree, if you have one. How do you decorate it? what do you use???? Blog about it.

We actually don't have a Christmas tree at the moment. We threw ours out last year as it was getting a bit yuckky. So we have plenty of home made decorations and a few new pretty store bought ones, some pretty star shaped lights and a boatload of tinsel that's probably older than I am and an angel that's head keeps falling off...but no tree. Mum wants to get a fiber optic one, which would be cool, except I think she's thinking of getting a small one whereas I prefer big trees with lots of room for presents underneath. I do like all those prettily decorated trees in the shops but for some reason, our trees always end up with the same old stuff. We also have a singing tree that my dad gave me a few years ago that always gets a few laughs out of us. It's this tree that sings Jingle Bell Rock and has big eyes that light up and it's just the funniest thing. It's usually our Christmas table center piece because it's so much fun to watch.

Sparkly!

I don’t often feel really happy with my layouts, but I’m pretty proud of this one. It’s about a lounge that I went to in Vegas called the Peppermill. I wanted it to look retro and blingy to emphasise the 1970s feel of the interior lounge photo. The scan cut off the top and bottom parts, so the ribbon is actually on straight!

The pink Retro letter stickers in the title are Arctic Frog, I don’t know who made the sparkly silver Vegas letter stickers, I got the ribbon in New York. The stars, the paperclip with pink flower sticker and rhinestone circles on the pink photo corner are from various Jenni Bowlin kits and the other rhinestones were donated by my mother :) The retro line I bought at Blue Bazaar and is made by Magistical Memories. I painted it silver. The journalling is hidden behind the drink picture like so -

And below is a card I made yesterday for my cousin's boyfriend. The letter stickers are Making Memories Tiny Alphas. I love them, I need to get some more. The black line is actually navy ribbon.

Today's Two Peas blog challenge is - If you could only get one thing for Christmas, scrapbooking related, what would it be???

Dear Santa, Please can I have a Digital SLR. Preferrably Canon and preferrably with a lense or two. I've been a very good girl this year and I promise to be a good girl next year if it appears under my Christmas tree. Love Lesley.

It's the weekend!

Today's been a bit of a waste as I went to my mate's place last night and didn't get home til late so today I was knackered today. She had an Undercover ware party and several of us ended up staying for quite a while afterwards which was a lot of fun. Yes, I succumbed and bought a nice top that would be good for clubbing or something like that.

I watched a couple of dvds - In Her Shoes, which was ok and The Island which was a bit tense and a tad too drawn out for my liking. I really only hired it so I could watch Ewan McGregor. Yum!

I managed to do this layout this evening. I'm quite happy with it and I got to use one of my new Autumn Leaves stamps. I also used Basic Grey Urban Coture patterned paper, Heidi Swapp chipboard letters for the title and two ribbons. The photo's not all that great but I was rather excited to see some sailors in New York and I had to scrap it! If you couldn't tell, I'm a simple scrapper! Less is more :)

The other thrill of my day was downloading the new video clip by Robbie Williams called Love Light on iTunes. His new CD appears in store sometime this week so I'll be scouring the music stores for that on Monday. And here's a piccie of him just because he's hot and I love him :)

Happiness is...

Happiness is a getting lots of fun stuff in the mail!

The postie brought me lots of great scrapping goodness today! Two idea books - the new Designing with Color by Autumn Leaves and Ali Edwards's A Designer's Eye with Patterned Paper. Hopefully these two new books will inspire me to create fabulous pages. And if not, at least I have something new to read!!

I also got three packs of Heidi Swapp chipboard letters in pink, blue and ledger, two different types of Heidi journaling spots - the black circles and the days of the week (I could stick em on my underpants to make days of the week underpants really cheaply!) I also got some pretty new Autumn Leaves papers and some shooting star chipboard shapes.

Onto other fascinating news, I had yet another job interview today. I'm feeling pretty good about it and I really hope they offer me the position as it's good money. I have an interview at another company tomorrow, and from what I've hard it seems like it would be a nice place to work, so hopefully by the end of this week someone will actually offer me a job!

I thought I'd have a go at today's Blog challenge on Two Peas. Today's challenge is - The Holidays are coming. Blog about the things about the holidays you are looking forward to.... no matter what they are!

Well, I love Christmas. I love the decorated trees, the presents, the fact that I usually have two weeks off work so I can sleep in and do whatever the hell I feel like doing, the yummy food, Christmas carols and how everyone is so much happier at that time of year. I'd love to be able to celebrate Halloween like they do in the US. I love the whole dressing up and decorating part of it. The giving out chocolate part's not so bad either! :)

A visit from Postman Pat!

Yay! The first of the three online orders I placed last week has arrived! All scrapbooking stuff. I got a bunch of 7 Gypsies tags, the Autumn Leaves clear journalling stamps and 4 retro line chipboard thingys!

I've got a layout in mind for the retro lines. I bought 4 because I wasn't sure what colour I wanted to paint it. And you never know when you'll need a chipboard retro line! hehe :)

I can't wait to try out the journalling stamps. I'll have to wait til the weekend as I have another layout in mind using a photo from my recent New York trip and I haven't had any of the photos I took printed yet.

Hopefully the postman will be bringing the rest of my goodies tomorrow.

Banners...

I'm so proud of myself, I actually managed to upload my new banner!! Only took about an hour or so!

Today's been a very lazy day. The kind of day I like best. I have actually left the house today, and also managed to spend money, which wasn't in the plan. I went to a home Body Shop party', hosted by a very good friend of mine. I didn't know they had those, so there you go, learn something new every day!! I like Body Shop stuff but it's so expensive I don't often buy anything from them. But today I succumbed and ordered a bath pillow and some Golden Apple Shimmer Lotion, which I dont think is available in store yet. The apple lotion really smells of apples and has golden shimmery stuff in it which looks funky. I'm really looking forward to trying out the bath pillow. It's a terry towling fabric cylindrical pillow that hangs off some more towling that has suction cups on the back.

Me in the sublime flesh!

Welcome to my Splendiferously Sublime blog. I'm just popping a picture of myself here so I can use it for my profile. It's a self-portait I took on my 25th birthday in the kitchen of the house I was living in at the time, in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In case you were wondering, I named my blog Splendiferously Sublime because I like both those words and they make it sound like my life is both splendiferous and sublime. I can only dream...!!!
